David Raine from Fanuc Roboshot UK gave a very well received talk - entitled "The Future of Injection Moulding".
The talk was given at the APT Open Day (October 2015), hosted by Athlone Materials Research Institute. The focus for David and other speakers was the developments in the industry and how opportunities like Additive Manufacturing and the changes brought about by Industry 4.0 will shape and influence the direction for the moulding industry in Ireland.
The opportunities for interfacing and linking the Fanuc All Electric injection moulding machines with other hardware and software is very wide-ranging and allows for much greater efficencies and cost reductions than has been possible, even in the recent past.
