+Now well into his third decade in the European polymer industry, Louis started out with an Honours Degree in Engineering from UCG and says “This is where I love being and I relish the partnerships that we have established and now nurture. The future is bright in our industry and we want to be with you on your journey”. His experience has brought a new dynamic to the business.
Phil Watters
Managing Director
+Phil has many years experience within the plastics industry across the globe and returned home to Ireland to join our team as General Manager, responsible for Service & Projects. Since then he has overseen significant change within the business and was appointed as Managing Director in January 2023.
Michael Reynolds
Sales Manager
+Michael joins the sales team as Sales Manager for the North. Michael completed a GPRI through Athlone IT and most recently worked for HP in supply chain management where he was responsible for polymers & moulded components.
Darryl Hamm
Sales Manager
+Darryl Hamm joined our team as Sales Manager. He brings 19 years of B2B sales experience in the manufacturing, technology and engineering sectors. Darryl spent 10 years at Colorite Europe (part of TekniPlex Healthcare) selling PVC & TPE compounds to medical device companies across EMEA, APAC and China. Most recently, he spent 3 years at EMC Ltd. focused on polymer processors in the Irish market selling melt pressure sensors, heaters, process controllers, and rheology test equipment.
Niall Gavin
Technical Project Manager
+Niall Gavin joined our team as Sales Engineer before being promoted to Technical Project Manager. A graduate from AIT (now TUS) in Mechanical & Polymer Engineering, he has worked in the medical device, food and automotive industries and was also one of the first JLGoor Scholarship recipients at AIT.

Carol Frey
Parts & Consumables Sales
+Carol will almost certainly be your first phone point of contact in JLGoor. She has been with JLGoor for more than 25 years. Today she not only manages all of the parts and consumables sales but also can firmly be considered the ‘conscience’ of JLGoor Machinery. Her personal connection with many of our clients, their companies and their companies needs offers our clients another contact where they know their product requirements are understood and can be catered to.
Lena Deynega
Financial Accountant - MIATI
+A qualified Accounting Technician, Lena looks after to perfection all of the accounting side of JL Goor. She has been with JL Goor for over 10 years and has a firm understanding of the polymer industry and our clients.
Maureen Kelly
Project Co-ordination
+Maureen joined us in February 2017 and is based in the office in Enniskerry, handling project co-ordination and ensuring that all the equipment is in the right place at the right time.
Kathleen Skakie
Administration
+Kathleen joined the team in January 2020 and is based in our Enniskerry office covering many of the day-to-day administrative activities.
Gearoid Clarke
Managing Director - MSc
+Gearoid a graduate of Athlone IT, where he gained his Master in Polymer Science. He joined JLGoor in 1994 to start the sales of Polymer materials for the business. He has been strongly involved in the evolution of the business and has fulfilled a variety of roles culminating in his current position. “ I really enjoy working with our strong and experienced team in an industry as interesting and challenging as the Polymer Industry.”
Martin Brickland
Sales Director
+Martin is a graduate of Athlone IT where he gained a Degree in Polymer Science . After leaving college he spent five years in key production roles both within Extrusion and Rotational moulding. Martin then moved into the Thermoset Polymers sector where grew and Managed a substantial business for a period of 20 years before joining the team at JL Goor in 2017. Martin has a keen interest in the distribution business of Polymers and really enjoys the technical challenges the Industry continually faces.
Debbie Keating
Financial Controller – FIATI, FCCA
+Debbie is our Financial Controller and Office Manager. She is a fully qualified accountant, who is responsible for a wide variety of financial and strategic planning elements of our business. The co-ordination of the office activities is a key part of the job and one that ensures that all parts of the business are running together smoothly.
Vincent Keogh
Polymer Sales Engineer – PRI Grad.
+Vincent brings a great deal of experience to his role of Polymer Sales Engineer. He has worked for a Polymer Producer, as well as in Polymer Distribution in the past. He has a degree in Polymer Science which will allow him to offer valuable help to customers. In more recent years he has been out of the Polymer industry, but has now returned and will bring a broad business accumen to helping customers.
Rita Murphy
Accounting Co-Ordinator, FIATI
+Rita brings a wealth of experience to our office team, with over 45 years in the industry. She began her career in customer service at GB Miller & Sons, where she progressed to the role of Office Manager. A qualified Accounting Technician, Rita oversees our invoicing and payables on a daily basis. She also holds a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management for National and International Road Haulage, further highlighting her broad skill set and in-depth industry knowledge. Rita’s versatility and dedication mean she’s always ready to step in wherever needed, making her an invaluable member of our team.
Brendan Sheehan
Logistics Manager - Dip. L&SCM
+Brendan is our Logistics Manager and has a Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management. He also has an unrivalled knowledge of how to move polymers efficiently from all over the world to our customers. He is unflappable – just what you need when under pressure to meet delivery deadlines.
James Rowe
Country Manager -UK
+James Rowe is a seasoned sales leader in the UK plastics and polymer materials sector, currently serving as Country Manager for JL Goor Materials UK. In this role, he leads the company’s growth in the UK market—building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting clients with tailored polymer material solutions. He is known for delivering practical, value-driven solutions and fostering long-term partnerships built on trust and consistency. Outside of work James enjoys spending his free time on the golf course.
Julie Lambert
Customer Services - UK
+Based in Manchester, UK, Julie joined JL Goor UK in 2021 and serves as a central point of contact for Customer Services, Accounts, and Logistics for the UK. With experience gained at Perrite, A. Schulman, and LyondellBasell, Julie brings a well-rounded understanding of the polymer industry and its supply chain. Known for always going the extra mile, Julie takes great pride in supporting her customers and building genuine, long-lasting relationships. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly, delivering seamless service with a positive and approachable attitude.
Samantha O'Donnell

+Tammy Steenkamp has a BCom Degree in Management, She is a people-first problem solver with 14+ years of experience starting as a customer services representative and then an account manager at Sasol who are a leading Polymer Supplier, before joining the JL Goor Materials team in 2023. She turns complex polymer challenges into smart, customer-focused solutions. Building strong, long-lasting relationships by listening closely, delivering value, and keeping things moving. Whether it's sales, strategy, or sorting out the small stuff, Tammy makes it happen with speed, efficiency, and a smile.
Declan Flaherty
Account Manager, Healthcare & Engineering Polymers
+Declan Flaherty brings decades of experience in the medical and engineering sectors, with a career built on Quality, Reliability, and Continuous Improvement. Originally from Galway, Declan began his journey as a Toolmaker in the early 1990s, specialising in the manufacture of Injection Moulds—from single impression prototypes to complex multi-cavity Production Moulds. Driven by a passion for learning and innovation, Declan pursued further education alongside his professional career. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics from Sligo IT in 2004, and later completed an Honours Degree in Industrial Engineering at ATU Galway in 2022. During his 18+ years at Galway Tool & Mould, Declan advanced from hands-on moulding expertise to managing moulding operations and leading projects. His ability to build strong customer relationships and his belief in clear communication and responsiveness have been key to his success in delivering projects of all sizes. Today, Declan is proud to be part of the JL Goor Materials Team, where he brings a wealth of practical knowledge in Tooling, Moulding, Validations, and Project Management. He is excited to contribute to a company with a bright future and to help customers achieve their goals through innovative solutions.
